Privacy

The short version

We run Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read and where readers arrive from, and only if you accept it when asked. That is the only measurement on the site: no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no heatmap, no A/B tool, no data broker. Fonts are served from our own domain, so not even a font provider sees your request.

Everything else we hold is what you deliberately typed into the contact or newsletter form and submitted.

Analytics

Analytics is off until you turn it on. We implement Google Consent Mode v2: every storage category is set to denied before the Google tag loads, so declining is not a promise we make in prose — the tag is present but cannot write a cookie or send an identified hit. Advertising and personalisation stay denied permanently, because we run no advertising products.

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that give your browser a random identifier, so a return visit is not counted as a new one. They expire after two years. Google then processes the page you viewed, the referrer, approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type.

We use it to decide what to write and what to fix. We have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features, or remarketing, so this data is not joined to a Google advertising profile and we do not build one.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferenceslink at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing is one click, the same as giving it. You can also use your browser’s cookie controls, block googletagmanager.com, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on this site behaves differently if you do.

What we collect when you submit a form

The contact form asks for your name, work email, and a description of what you are building. Company, service, budget and timeline are optional. The newsletter form asks only for an email address.

Form submissions are delivered by Formspree, which processes the submission and forwards it to us by email. Formspree records the submission and the originating IP address as part of its spam filtering. We do not use a tracking pixel in our replies.

What we do with it

• Contact enquiries are read by a named person and answered by email. They are retained while a commercial conversation is live and for 24 months afterwards, so we have context if you come back.
• Newsletter subscriptions are used only to send the monthly engineering note. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes the address.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. We do not use enquiry content to train models.

Client data under an engagement

This policy covers the website. Data we handle inside a client engagement is governed by the contract and, where applicable, a DPA or BAA. Under those terms client data is never used for training, never shared with third parties, and never leaves the region the contract specifies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or India’s DPDP Act 2023 give you the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing.

Where data lives

We are established in New Delhi, India. Form submissions are processed by Formspree in the United States, analytics by Google LLC in the United States, and our email is hosted in the European Union. Transfers out of the EEA and UK rely on the standard contractual clauses in our processors’ terms.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We do not silently expand what we collect.
